Freddy Clarence Moses Store

At Lockhart River, we have a retail outlet which stock a range of fresh meats, fruit and vegetables and other grocery and household items.  Due to our remote location and a range of other factors, most items are more expensive than elsewhere, and sometimes freshness and quality can be of a lower standard.

The Freddy Clarence Moses Store is operated by Community Enterprise Queensland.  It was named to commemorate Freddy Clarence Moses who was a distinguished leader of the Lockhart River community.  To make sure that the store provides the goods and services valued by the Lockhart River community, the store operations are informed by a local advisory committee.

The store has EFTPOS facilities, and an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is situated inside the store.  Self-service unleaded and diesel fuels are also available seven days a week between 8am and 6pm.

Monday to Friday - 8am to 5.30pm

Saturday - 8am to noon
